Today I want to discuss having Ultimate Discipline. The first Law of my Seven Ultimate Laws to Live By is “Think Only of What You Want” and this Law is the founding platform for which I base my self-discipline on.
Throughout my life, I have encountered countless experiences where people shared their admiration for my level of self-discipline, as well as the levels of self-discipline seen in others who aim high and achieve what they aim for.
Think of how many times you’ve received a surprised reaction from people who hear that you’re still working at something and they say, “Wow, you’re still doing that?” Back in my days of Weight Watchers, most people confused the program with a diet and after years of me sticking with it, I often received surprised reactions like, “Wow – aren’t you done yet? You’re still dieting?” I would smile and correct the confusion by replying with, “I’m not on a diet and haven’t been – I simply learned how to eat and yes, I’m still working on it.” To this day, I’m STILL working on it.
Discipline is synonymous with dedication, determination, and doing what needs to be done in order to achieve that which is desired.
Creating an Ultimate Life requires discipline. It requires following the Laws that I have assembled into my Seven Ultimate Laws to Live By with absolute devotion and dedication. We see time and time again that what we pay attention to, multiplies. We become conscious of our efforts, continue to try and eventually succeed.
People who go to gyms and maximize their workout regimens usually look the part; they have cuts in their arms, their weight is healthy for them and they all have one thing in common – they are committed to their self-betterment and they show up consistently. They are dedicated, determined and doing what needs to be done to achieve that which is desired.
When you start with the first Law and you Think Only of What You Want, you are putting concentrated and focused attention on only what you want and nothing else. If what you want is to achieve your personal level of Ultimate Health, your focused attention on thinking only of what you want will begin to move people, circumstances and events so that you feel the Universal nudge from within to take action and do whatever is necessary to achieve that which you desire.
For example, if that Ultimate Body is your absolute want, you will begin to think of common knowledge ways to begin constructing your Ultimate Body. You may join a gym, you may hire a trainer, you may get an exercise at home program that you use with your television – just start. As you continue to focus on your Ultimate Body and you begin to color that visualization of how it feels to live in that body, your wants will adjust and you will allow more avenues of possibility into the picture. Who knows!? Your home workout may turn into a desire to join a gym and make friends in a Spin class you attend a couple times per week (eh hem) and while you’re at said gym you may see other people who have the Ultimate Body you’re aiming for. These people are on display for you so you can admire their achievements and feel further inspired to do it too! PLUS! If you feel so inclined, you can walk right up to them with your ultimate confidence and ask them how they did/do it.
Ultimate Discipline gives us Ultimate Lives. It’s that simple. Anything you pour yourself into returns the exact same and more to you – to the point that it’s pouring onto you. Think only of what you want and that which you truly desire will become known to you and will begin to take shape. That shape could very well be your Ultimate Body!
You have the power to create your Ultimate Life!
