Scales Weigh Mass – Nothing Else

scale-wtf

In today’s article, I am going to teach you how to apply your new dedication to yourself so you can get to your weight goal while ignoring the thing we’ve always focused on – that stupid scale!

There is so much involved with weight-loss and weight-management and yet, no matter who you ask, it seems the only thing people focus on is what scales say. All scales are different, which is why you experience that frustration of weighing one weight at home and then you’re heavier on a doctor’s scale or a scale at your gym.

During weight loss, consistency is key. Weigh yourself once a week, on the same day, at the same time. DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERYDAY! The average person fluctuates 2-6 pounds in one day, which is due to foods and beverages consumed, whether or not a bowel movement has occurred, if one has eaten foods that cause bloat, muscles that are full of water as their repairing begins after strenuous exercise – and so much more.

With all of these extraneous factors that can cause you to flip out for no reason when you see a gain from one day to another, do yourself a favor and skip the weigh-in, six of seven days.

The day before the “weigh day” is vital. When I was losing my 120 pounds, I ate the same exact things at the same exact times on Fridays since my “weigh day” was Saturday morning. My mentality was, “I work so hard at this all week long and I’ll be damned if I’m not going to see the most accurate result of my efforts.” You absolutely have to pick a “weigh day” that empowers you, works with your schedule and permits you to LIVE your life!

I want you to stop focusing on the number. No one cares what you weigh! When people look at you in public, do you think they are trying to guess your weight? No! They are looking at the rest of YOU to determine if you are someone they want to know. If you look like a train wreck, they’re going to notice. If you look like you have yourself together, they’re going to notice.

When we feel good about ourselves and when we take care of ourselves, our energy frequencies change. We exude more positive energy and when considering the impact of the Law of Attraction, we attract people who notice and are affected by our positivity and happiness.

Step One

Discard the notion that the number of the measured mass you are carrying around matters. If you put the same amount of energy and focus that you would put on obtaining your ideal number, on other areas of your life with the intention of bettering those areas – you will soon find that the reasons you eat will change, too.

Step Two

Accept that BEHAVIOR is the biggest component to losing or managing your weight. What you eat, how you eat, where you eat, who you eat with – are all contributing to whether or not you get the body you are wishing for. If you do not like the current result of your current behavior, some of your behaviors need to change for you to get what you desire. It makes perfect sense when you think about it –

If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got!

Step Three

THINK about what life will be like when you are at your ideal weight. DO NOT THINK OF THE NUMBER. What can you do in your ideal body that you cannot do or do not want to do right now? What kind of attitude will you carry with you on a daily basis because you feel good in your body? What food choices will you make when you’re living in your ideal body? Will you eat garbage food when you look like an Adonis or Aphrodite?

Step Four

Start ACTING as if you are already living in your ideal body. Start feeling how you will feel as an inhabitant of that ideal body. Start feeling the smiles from others and the admiring glances and gazes from afar that will make you feel flattered and victorious. Feel pleased and grateful that you have shed the skin that didn’t suit you and become focused on creating your Ultimate Life.

To measure weight management success by stepping on a scale is to allow every incredible accomplishment and human achievement we make to rest on the displayed numeric feedback that says nothing except the weight of the mass that is standing on it. We are so much more than mass taking up space – we are people, we are incredible and we are changing our lives!
