Feelings are the gateway to our thoughts. Yesterday’s article (Thursday Thoughts) was about Confidence. The primary component responsible for increasing one’s level of confidence exists in how one thinks.
We think on multiple levels; two of those levels being conscious and subconscious. More thinking is done in our subconscious than is done in our conscious and in order to be aware of what we are thinking, we need only to ask, “How am I feeling?”
You can’t think good thoughts and feel badly – it doesn’t work that way. Nor can you think bad thoughts and feel good. Take a minute to think about it. Ask yourself, literally – out loud – “How do I feel?” And be honest! It’s just you that you have to answer to. Use any word you like – good, bad, foul or unpleasant. However you feel right now is an exact depiction of the thoughts that you are thinking.
Continuing to think these types of thoughts are going to give you more life circumstances and events that are similar to what you are experiencing. So, if you feel pretty rotten and you don’t want to feel this way, you can immediately change how you feel by changing what you’re thinking about. Stop thinking about the bills you have to pay. Yes, yesterday was the 15th and some of you received paychecks yesterday and for others, your pay day may be today or next Friday. Don’t allow the fabulous feelings that you should be feeling with receiving your paycheck to be discounted or deflated by realizations that you have bills to pay, etc. Stop, stop, stop.
Think about this – you have a check for a nice amount of money in your hand (whether you actually do or not – it doesn’t matter) and feel how great it feels to hold soooooooooo much money in your hand. It’s yours – all of it. Taxes have been withheld and that sum, right there in your hand, is alllllllllll yours. Feels good, doesn’t it?
It took five tiny thoughts to get you to the point of feeling good. It took five tiny realizations or projections to get yourself in the mental state of believing that GOOD exists for YOU. As long as you can hold the thought of GOOD FOR ME in your mind, then GOOD must come into your life as your life circumstances, events and the people you encounter – because you thought it to be that way.
If you allow yourself to feel strong feelings of worry, anguish, despair, confusion, misguidance – those are all powerful feelings that will only draw more of those feelings to you. Who the hell wants more of that? NO ONE! SO STOP THINKING ABOUT IT! Worrying about a bill isn’t going to pay it – having the money to pay it will pay it. How can you get more money if all you’re doing is thinking of the great amount of money you DO NOT HAVE? You can’t. The only way to create more of something is to think more about it. So if you think more of not having it, you’re really solidifying NOT HAVING IT. But if you think more of having it, you’ll be that much closer to solidifying HAVING IT, whatever “it” is!
To recap – feelings are our communicative energy that allows us to quickly, without deep analysis, understand what types of thoughts we are thinking.
Feeling undesired feelings tells you that your thinking is other than ideal.
Feeling desired feelings tells you that your thinking is right on track to giving you the happiness, joy and fabulous life you want to experience, non-stop, 24-7.
Now think about this – IT’S FRIDAY! THAT ALONE SHOULD PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE! NOW FEEL GOOD, GET OUT THERE AND KEEP FEELING GOOD! Any time you don’t feel as good as you’ve been feeling, just blurt out, “IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” like those camels do for Hump Day. Granted, it’s not Hump Day – it’s Friday – but you get the idea. I don’t know anyone who hates Fridays!
Coming up – We have a Monday Motivator that will kick-start your week to make it ULTIMATE!
