Now that the heat of the summer months is upon us, our tendencies to relax are encouraged. Do not fall prey to relaxing your efforts to better yourself!
Here are some quick easy tips to getting the most out of the dog days of summer…without feeling dog-tired from the heat!
- Clean out that refrigerator! I don’t know about you, but my refrigerator isn’t the side-by-side double from Sub-Zero…yet. If you have a common refrigerator, do you really know what’s in the fridge? Take some time and gut your icebox before your next grocery trip.
- Take inventory of what you already have and make a list of what you need. Take the list with you. If you’re technically enhanced, I’m sure you have an app to help you! Add a comment to this blog posting with the apps you’re using!
- When you get the groceries home, take the time to arrange the inside of the refrigerator accordingly. Face all labels to the front and keep it straight and controlled. If you start your efforts of control within the fridge, control will follow to the plate and ultimately, to the other areas of your life.
- When you wake up in the morning, put your sneakers on! You don’t have to necessarily go for a walk, but putting on the “active” shoe will add a boost to your morning, making your more efficient and more empowered to tackle things you would never think of doing with bare feet or flip-flops! Once you’ve accomplished a lot for that day, kick off the sneakers, slip on some flops and hit the pool. You’ve earned it!
By taking these few easy steps, you can live an easier life. Less chaos, less stress, less wasted food, less overeating and less nonsense WEIGHing you down!
