In an effort to renovate the typical salad, I suggested to a client of mine that she make a salad with all of the delicious ingredients she wants but to remove the “salad” part. Lettuce is so over! If you’re looking for a change of pace in your efforts to make your lunches or dinners easier, tastier and different – drop the grass here and there.
I heard you, and, no – I’m not crazy. Yes, I’m a Health Coach. However, part of yourhealthinvolves your mental well-being. If you can’t even entertain the thought of yet another salad because you have had way too many salads throughout your lifetime, dropping the main component and switching it up is a great way to add some variety to your boring routine. Oh wait, did I just say that out loud? YOU BET I DID! I tell it like it is!
Ok so you drop the lettuce and then what? Add some Laughing Cow cheese OR mustard OR mayonnaise OR whatever you like – this is where you get your “creative coagulation” juices flowing and invent a new binding agent that isn’t a bunch of chemicals like a popular granola bar!
